Standardized Test Prep
Standardized tests can be difficult! And we believe that although test taking skills can be helpful, that helpfulness is limited if you don't understand the problem to begin with. You not only want the skills to help you improve your chances of receiving your desired score, but also the know how... and that's where we come in!
There are already many fantastic resources surrounding test prep so instead of creating our own, we help you to work your way through ones that have already proven to be successful. We partner with certain chosen curriculums and journey through the material with you, giving insight on each lesson. All of our chosen curriculums have answer keys for all problems and provide you with in-depth explanations as to why the correct answer can be reached. And although we currently only help with preparing for the math material that has more than just a math section so that your investment of purchasing the book will allow you to practice other sections of the test at your leisure!
Our Test Prep Programs
Currently, we offer a summer GACE math (k-5) test prep course and individualized test prep on the following tests: GACE, SAT, ACT & GED. Just below are the resources that we currently use for our test prep programs.
SAT
This book does a great job of providing problems at every level of every concept for the SAT. It provides a clean layout with plenty of practice problems, giving you a variety of question to master. Kaplan is a name that has been proven over time and we believe this is one of the best resource to prepare you for your SAT!
ACT
Although not as widespread as Kaplan, Peterson's ACT Prep Guide has all that you would need in an ACT prep book. It offers a level of challenge that mimics some of the most difficult problems that you will see on the ACT. It advances through lessons in a way that can be practically grasped and provides you with several tests to improve your skills. This is a phenomenal guide!
GED Math
When it comes to breaking down Algebra and Geometry concepts in well organized, easy-to-digest lessons, this book is a fantastic resource! It has the ability to take you from basic math skills to advanced algebraic reasoning, holding your hand the entire way. We have used this book for over 10 years for GED test prep and continue to be amazed at its simplicity and the clarity it provides!
GACE Math (K-5)
In order to better prepare you for the GACE, we have created problems similar to the GACE practice test that focus on the same concepts needed to thrive on its the math portion. If you have been struggling to conquer math on the GACE for K-5 Education, we believe that this course will greatly prepare you!
GACE Math Course (K-5)
Do you feel that there's a lot of catching up you'd have to do to pass the GACE? If so, we totally understand. As you know when it comes to math, if you don't use it, you'll most certainly lose it! And if you have lost most (or all) of it, this may be the course for you! Here, you'll learn the same concepts that you would learn while taking individualized GACE tutoring, but over the course of a 7-week, 21 hour course. If you've got the time and need to start from the beginning, you'll want this course!
